We’re now more than half way through the first year of the new Millenium and July 4th, the celebration of Independence, is upon us. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could make this new Millenium the year in which peace finally comes to all? The Pilgrims came to America to escape bigotry and lack of freedom. In this year, let’s make a real effort to follow through with their hopes and dreams for all, not just the favored few.

Fourth of July is traditionally a time for a barbecue with friends and family where we eat the same old favorites. So in this special year, let’s try to celebrate the ethnicity of America and cook some dishes that reflect the cultural melting pot we live in. As an appetizer try this pepperoni pizza dip full of Italian flavor.
